The Story that Inspired the Change

Josephine Desiree Rollyson, MSW, LSW, Founder and Lead Consultant, is a dedicated mental health professional and military spouse with extensive experience supporting individuals, groups, and organizations. Desiree started her military-life journey in 2015 as Texas National Guard Spouse and in 2017 her husband transitioned to active-duty service who still serves today. Over the last decade Desiree and her family have moved across Air Force bases in the United States and Europe.

During this time, she recognized the gaps in mental and emotional services both in and out of the military communities. She witnessed individuals struggle with finding their place in a life where the only constant is change and recognized the importance for behavioral and spiritual awareness in daily living. Inspired to help others balance mental wellness in the chaos of life, Desiree’s new mission was to create a space where people could learn how to re-connect with themselves in order to re-build and strengthen the community they need.

With more than a decade of experience supporting diverse populations—including military families, faith-based organizations, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and individuals across all developmental lifespans —Desiree has worked to help educate new spouses on the complexity of the military lifestyle, guided youth and adults in holistic wellness, provided mentorships that still thrives today, and has encouraged the nuclear family growth by educating on positive communication and behaviors.

Warm, engaging, and deeply committed to improving mental wellness literacy, Desiree is dedicated to accessible, practical mental and behavioral wellness education that is grounded in the core values of compassion, connection and collaboration allowing her to resonate with audiences of all ages and backgrounds.
